This position will be located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program lab activities.

What You’ll Get To Do:
This role will support the System Test Team as the lead Industrial Engineer. The preferred candidate will be an individual with a bias for action, strategic thinking, data analysis, problem-solving, exceptional customer focus, communications, and a sound foundation in Industrial Engineering concepts, with an expertise in scheduling, manpower, and facility layouts. General skills and expectations within the role include:
Key Responsibilities:
Strong foundation in Industrial Engineering fundamentals (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts)
Responsible for tracking lab hardware deliveries and maintaining detailed schedules and metrics to report status to upper leadership
Develop and maintain SQDEC (Schedule, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Cost) Boards with various metrics on a daily basis.
Understand principles of capacity (efficiencies, standards, constraints, etc.)
Knowledge of manufacturing flows and how they interface with shop floor and Global Supply Chain
Understand labor standard development and work measurement. Create standard hour content for new scope.
Perform shop floor time studies on manufacturing and test activities.
Work with functional team to understand scheduling requirements at implementation sites
Ability to create detailed manufacturing waterfall schedules with setbacks to independent demands
Utilize process improvement methodology (e.g., value stream mapping, employee engagement techniques, flow reduction, etc.)
Design and optimize Shop Floor/Facility Layouts
Understand principals of cost management (Earned Value, Milestone payments)
Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Assessments (MRAs) with Suppliers
Engage and collaborate with various product teams and functional organizations (from individual contributors to executive staff) to obtain, understand, and interpret manufacturing facilitation and scheduling requirements
Document, track and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution
Utilize your strong organizational, planning and decision-making skills and the ability to work as a team member and with other members from different technical backgrounds
Ability to coordinate with larger teams at different site locations
Create and present technical briefings for upper management and technical leadership

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
Job Qualifications:
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Principal Industrial Engineer T03: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 years with PhD.
Sr. Principal Industrial Engineer T04: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline. A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with PhD.
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher awarded or reviewed in the last 6 years
Have a working knowledge and understanding of Industrial Engineering concepts (Production Intervals, Cycle Time, Takt Time, Standard Hour Content, Time Studies, EVMS, Continuous Improvement, Scheduling, Capacity Analysis, Facility Layouts)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Visio
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
Experience in the Aerospace and/or Defense Industry
Experience working in Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development (EMD) phase of a program
Experience working in a lab and test environment
Knowledge of SAP, MES, AutoCad, and FlexSim (or other discrete simulation programs) tools and concepts
Ability to create and automate Industrial Engineering performance metrics
Experience with Project Management and manufacturing schedules
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, and Visio
