BV Capital seeks a qualified, securities-licensed business-to-consumer sales professional to join our growing organization as Senior Vice President of Capital Raising.
The Senior Vice President of Capital Raising will report to the President of BV Capital and focus on two primary fronts:
Lead responsibility is to prospect for new HNW-accredited investors and business development opportunities across the firm's direct investor sales channel for our real estate investment private placement offerings. This is a senior producer role, with approximately 70+% of the position focused on direct capital raising, investor sales, relationship management, investor presentations and follow-up, and closing on investment commitments. The remaining 30% will focus on sales leadership, CRM discipline, process improvement, KPI accountability, and on helping scale the firm’s capital-raising platform.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of raising capital for real estate investments, private placements, multifamily investments, DSTs, 1031 exchange solutions, promissory notes, private equity real estate, or other alternative investment offerings. This individual will bring a strong executive presence, disciplined follow-up, real estate knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with accredited investors, high-net-worth individuals, wealth managers, family offices, RIAs, broker-dealer representatives, and strategic investment partners. The role requires someone who can personally deliver at a high level while also helping build the systems, accountability, and sales culture necessary to scale our professional capital-raising platform.
Primary Responsibilities
Direct Capital Raising & Investor Sales — 70%
· Personally raise capital from accredited investors for the firm’s real estate investment offerings.
· Build, manage, and convert a personal pipeline of prospective investors, existing investors, referral sources, family offices, RIAs, broker-dealer representatives, and strategic investment partners.
· Lead investor calls, one-on-one meetings, webinars, roadshows, follow-up conversations, and closing discussions.
· Present investment opportunities in a clear, professional, and compliant manner, including sponsor background, investment thesis, market fundamentals, property-level strategy, capital stack, target returns, risks, hold period, liquidity considerations, tax considerations, and investor suitability.
· Drive investors through the full sales process from initial introduction through subscription, funding, and post-investment relationship management.
· Develop and maintain long-term investor relationships to support reinvestment, referrals, retention, and future capital formation.
· Support capital raising initiatives through direct outreach, referral development, investor education, advisor relationships, and strategic partnership channels.
· Work closely with executive leadership to refine product positioning, investor messaging, market narrative, and the firm’s overall investment story.
· Maintain disciplined CRM records, including investor notes, pipeline status, follow-up activity, suitability information, subscription progress, and communication history.
· Collaborate with investor relations, marketing, compliance, legal, operations, asset management, and executive leadership to ensure a professional and efficient investor experience.
· Represent the firm with credibility, professionalism, and executive presence in all investor-facing interactions.
Sales Leadership, Team Development & Platform Growth — 30%
· Serve as a senior example for the sales team by modeling disciplined outreach, strong investor communication, consistent follow-up, CRM usage, compliant sales practices, and high-integrity closing behavior.
· Help mentor investor-facing sales professionals responsible for raising capital from accredited investors.
· Assist in setting sales goals, activity expectations, pipeline standards, capital raising targets, KPI reporting, and accountability structures for the team.
· Lead or participate in weekly sales meetings, pipeline reviews, investor strategy sessions, and team performance discussions.
· Help develop and refine sales scripts, investor call frameworks, presentation processes, follow-up cadences, and CRM workflows.
· Strengthen CRM adoption and visibility so leadership can track investor activity, pipeline conversion, capital raising progress, and overall team performance.
· Provide practical coaching on investor presentations, objection handling, closing strategy, referral generation, follow-up discipline, and long-term relationship development with the internal sales team.
· Share market feedback with leadership regarding investor sentiment, product demand, competitive positioning, capital flow trends, and common investor objections.
· Help build a performance-oriented sales culture grounded in accountability, professionalism, investor trust, and compliance.
Real Estate Investment & Capital Markets Responsibilities
· Communicate real estate investment opportunities to investors with a strong understanding of property-level fundamentals, market positioning, asset strategy, capital stack structure, risk-adjusted returns, and sponsor execution.
· Support the firm’s broader capital formation strategy across accredited investor, wealth management, private equity, and strategic partner channels.
· Participate in the development and positioning of new investment products based on investor demand, market opportunities, and firm strategy.
· Work with leadership to evaluate how offerings are presented to investors, including deal structure, return profile, investor materials, market narrative, and competitive differentiation.
· Maintain awareness of real estate capital markets, multifamily trends, interest rates, lending conditions, transaction activity, capital flows, and investor sentiment.
Compliance & Regulatory Responsibilities
· Conduct all capital raising activities in accordance with applicable SEC, FINRA, broker-dealer, private placement, and firm compliance requirements.
· Ensure all investor communications are accurate, balanced, professional, and consistent with approved offering materials.
· Follow firm procedures related to investor qualification, accredited investor status, suitability, offering documents, disclosures, subscription documentation, and communication records.
· Properly document investor conversations, follow-up activity, investment interest, suitability considerations, and sales progress in the firm’s approved systems.
· Escalate investor complaints, disclosure concerns, suitability issues, or potential compliance matters promptly to the appropriate internal parties.
· Help reinforce compliant sales practices across the broader investor-facing team.
Required Qualifications
· Active FINRA Series 7 license in good standing.
· Active FINRA Series 63 license in good standing.
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· Proven experience raising capital for real estate investments, private placements, alternative investments, or other securities-based investment offerings.
· Demonstrated ability to personally originate, manage, and close meaningful investor capital commitments.
· Experience working with accredited investors, high-net-worth individuals, wealth managers, RIAs, family offices, private equity groups, broker-dealer representatives, or institutional partners.
· Strong understanding of real estate investment fundamentals, including multifamily investments, private equity real estate, offering structures, investor reporting, and capital formation strategy.
· Strong executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with sophisticated investors and senior business leaders.
· Demonstrated CRM discipline, pipeline management, sales reporting, KPI tracking, and process improvement experience.
· Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment where the role requires both direct production and leadership contribution.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· High level of professionalism, judgment, accountability, and integrity.
Performance Expectations
· Success in this role will be measured primarily by individual capital production and secondarily by their contribution to team development and platform growth.
· Key performance indicators may include:
Personal capital raised; New investor relationships originated; Investor pipeline growth and conversion rates; Reinvestment and repeat investor activity; Capital raised through referral sources, advisors, and strategic partners;
Quality and consistency of investor follow-up; CRM accuracy and pipeline visibility; Contribution to sales process improvement; Effectiveness in mentoring and developing other sales professionals; Ability to represent the firm professionally and compliantly in the market.
Compensation will include a base salary plus monthly incentive compensation for achieving results.
