Our top recognizable financial client is hiring a long-term contract Senior UX Researcher to join their team working on the BDB (mobile/digital banking) customer facing application; a large discovery and design heavy project (visual refresh) within their personal banking business unit reporting to the Senior UX Research Manager.
Duration: 12 months

Location: Chicago - Hybrid - Monday/Wednesday/every other Friday (10 days/month)
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience working as a UX Researcher (mixed methods) within an enterprise environment
- 50/50 split of qualitative & quantitative research (must be strong in quantitative!) end-to-end including experience building research plans ground up involving setting process and structure; the redesign affects the full digital experience before and after becoming a customer and including wealth
- Demonstrated track record of designing and executing end‑to‑end research strategies that inform innovation, discovery, and early‑stage concept development
- Evaluates visual and brand expression through research, assessing how design impacts trust, clarity, accessibility, and emotional response
- Moves beyond reporting to interpretation, storytelling, and implications for product, experience, or strategy
- Experienced in both generative and evaluative research, influencing portfolio level strategy
- Knowledge of approach and empathy working closely with design and product partners
- Skilled in presenting and communicating findings to stakeholders including executives
- Team oriented, collaborative, self-starter, proactive, organized, industrious, strategic
- Financial services/banking industry experience - a big plus!

- User testing & interview platforms (UserTesting, User Interviews, dScout)
- Concept testing, and moderated/unmoderated research tools
- Qualitative analysis and synthesis tools (Dovetail, Aurelius, Condens)
- Survey design and analysis platforms (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, Forsta, etc.)
