Role: Senior Test Engineer – RF Test Development

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Engineer to join our engineering team and support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of RF test solutions for advanced semiconductor products. This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining automated test systems, troubleshooting RF hardware, analyzing performance data, and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure product quality and manufacturing excellence

.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF measurements, automated test equipment (ATE), data analysis, and manufacturing test environments, along with a passion for solving complex technical challenges


Key Responsibilities:•

• Design, develop, and deploy automated test systems and methodologies for RF products and modules.

• Perform system calibration, validation, debugging, and maintenance of automated and manual test stations.

• Evaluate, characterize, and troubleshoot RF devices and assemblies while implementing corrective actions to improve performance and reliability.

• Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process optimization.

• Generate detailed technical reports and documentation summarizing test results, findings, and recommendations.

• Create and maintain test procedures, work instructions, and engineering documentation.

• Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Yield Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to support new product introductions and qualification activities.

• Participate in RF test strategy development, including test architecture, equipment selection, and process improvements.

• Lead initiatives focused on quality enhancement, cycle-time reduction, yield improvement, and manufacturing efficiency.

• Support first-pass qualification success through proactive problem solving and risk mitigation.

• Train and mentor technicians and junior engineers on test procedures, equipment operation, and troubleshooting techniques.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Required Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of RF and microwave measurement techniques and test methodologies.

• Hands-on experience with RF components including amplifiers, attenuators, splitters, mixers, frequency converters, and related hardware.

• Knowledge of RF performance parameters and characterization techniques.

• Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) and custom test station development.

• Familiarity with statistical analysis and process control methodologies such as SPC, DOE, 8D, and 5 Why analysis.

• Experience using data analysis and statistical software tools such as JMP.

• Ability to evaluate parametric data and translate results into meaningful engineering conclusions.

• Programming or scripting experience in one or more of the following:


  • Python
  • LabVIEW
  • C
  • C++
  • Other automation or test-development languages


Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in RF testing, test engineering, product characterization, or manufacturing test development.

• Proven experience developing and supporting automated test systems for electronic or RF hardware products.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a structured approach to problem solving.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.

• Strong documentation and reporting skills with experience investigating and resolving hardware-related issues.
