Flybridge Staffing is currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join a reputable organization in the Boca Raton Area. This is an on-site position with hybrid flexibility.
The Sr. Systems Engineer is responsible for the design, integration, and maintenance of high-availability infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud environments. This role manages a hybrid virtual server environment and ensures uptime on business-critical services, SQL clusters, and SDLC lifecycles.

Experience:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science and 6-8 years of experience.
- Strong experience with VMware ESXi 8.0+ and Windows Server 2022 is required.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud is required.
- Experience Scripting with PowerShell or Azure CLI for automation.
- Deep understanding of hybrid environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience leveraging scripting and automation tools (PowerShell, CLI) to streamline operations.
- Experience in maintaining clear, thorough technical documentation and processes.
- Security Mindset: Knowledge of system hardening, vulnerability management, and secure infrastructure practices.
- Operational Excellence: Strong focus on uptime, system performance, and proactive monitoring.
- Knowledge of networking TCP/IP, and Firewalls a plus.
- MCSE or Azure Solutions Architect Certification is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and scale 200+ virtual servers across on-premise (VMware) and cloud (Microsoft Azure) environments.
- Administer VCenter, ESXi hosts, VSAN, and Dell storage arrays (VxRail/PowerStore).
- Azure Operations: Provision VMs, manage Storage Accounts, Entra ID (Azure AD) sync, and configure Network Security Groups (NSGs).
- SDLC Support: Build and maintain consistent DEV, UAT, and PROD environments to support developer efforts and SQL Server clusters.
- Experience with Performance Monitoring tools such as: LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, and ManageEngine
- Execute monthly automated patch management and security hardening baselines to maintain compliance.
- Automation: Deploy software and client agents via PowerShell scripting and automated deployment tools.
- Manage Active Directory (AD), including GPO, DNS, DHCP, and schema upgrades.
- Disaster Recovery: Act as a key point of contact for DR failover testing and live emergency response.
- Manage enterprise-wide backup solutions (Veeam) across M365 and cloud vaults, including archival to LTO tape.
- Review system logs to provide deep-dive analysis and permanent solutions for recurring issues.
- Perform systems forecasting (storage, cloud compute, data center footprint) to accommodate future growth.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, analyzing cost, risk, and feasibility.
- Serve as the Tier 3 point of contact for critical P1 outages and vendor coordination.
