Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Supply Chain Analyst to serve as the analytical backbone of our supply chain function. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, this is a high-impact individual contributor role for an experienced analyst who has worked across the full supply chain — forecasting, inventory, sourcing, cost optimization, and fulfillment strategy — and who can translate data into measurable financial and operational results.
With 9,000+ SKUs across 18 websites, sourcing across four countries, and a growing global fulfillment footprint that includes direct shipments to Canada and the UK, this role exists to answer the hard questions: Where should we source this item — China or India — to maximize margin? How do we optimize container loads to reduce landed cost? Where is our excess inventory hiding? Why are we stocking out, and what's the fix? How do we tighten pick & pack performance? The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is the person who finds the answers, builds the models, and gives our supply chain team the data they need to make the right calls.
This is a 100% on-site, Monday through Friday position at our Forest Lake / Columbus, Minnesota location.
Key Responsibilities
- Forecasting & Demand Planning Analytics: Analyze, validate, and improve demand forecasts at the SKU, channel, and regional level. Diagnose forecast variance and drive measurable improvements in forecast accuracy.
- Inventory & Safety Stock Optimization: Optimize safety stock, reorder points, and days-of-supply across 9,000+ SKUs. Identify and resolve excess inventory, slow-movers, and dead stock. Build the analytics that drive working capital improvements.
- Sourcing & Country-of-Origin Analytics: Build landed cost models that compare sourcing options across China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey. Quantify the financial and operational tradeoffs of sourcing decisions and recommend where to source which products to maximize profitability.
- Cost of Goods & Margin Analytics: Partner with sourcing, finance, and merchandising on COGS analysis, margin optimization, pricing strategy support, and tariff and duty scenario modeling.
- Container & Inbound Optimization: Analyze container utilization, inbound freight costs, and PO consolidation opportunities. Identify cost savings in how product moves from supplier to dock.
- Fulfillment & Regional Strategy: Model the financial and service-level tradeoffs of direct international shipments (Canada, UK) versus shipping from the US. Recommend the optimal fulfillment strategy by region, channel, and product.
- Stockout Resolution & Service Level Analytics: Diagnose root causes of out-of-stock situations and build the reporting and exception logic to prevent recurrence. Track and improve service levels across channels.
- Warehouse & Pick/Pack Optimization: Analyze warehouse throughput, slotting, pick paths, and pack efficiency. Partner with operations to identify and quantify improvement opportunities.
- Reporting & BI Infrastructure: Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, exception reports, and analytical tools that turn raw data into actionable decisions for buyers, planners, operations, and executive leadership.
- Tool Ownership: Serve as the supply chain team's expert user of Slimstock and our broader analytical tool stack. Diagnose issues, configure rules, and own the data integrity that makes these tools trustworthy.
- Process & Decision Support: Partner with sourcing, planning, and operations on ordering processes, sourcing workflows, and S&OP. Provide expert guidance on key supply chain decisions.
- Executive Communication: Translate complex analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for the CEO, Director of Supply Chain, and other senior leaders.
