Senior Superintendent – Healthcare Construction (NYC)

A well-established construction firm is seeking a Senior Superintendent to provide senior field leadership on complex healthcare construction projects in New York City. This role oversees major scopes of work, supports overall project execution, and ensures the highest standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance.

• Deep knowledge of multiple field trades
• Expert understanding of OSHA, NYCDOB, FDNY, and Local Law 196
• Strong understanding of healthcare construction requirements
• Understanding of LEED material requirements and compliance

• Lead and manage major project scopes and specialty partners
• Oversee and support Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents
• Lead foreman meetings and coordinate multi-trade activities
• Assist with jobsite layout, logistics planning, and project setup
• Enforce the Site Safety Plan and regulatory compliance
• Train team members on quality standards and DBO2 inspections
• Coordinate trades, inspectors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Develop and manage task-specific logistics plans
• Oversee QA/QC efforts and reporting for assigned scopes
• Assist in writing, reviewing, and enforcing Exhibit A documents
• Review ROJ logs to protect schedule and material flow
• Create and review RFIs
• Maintain a full understanding of project specifications and schedules
• Review change order scope, schedule, and cost impacts
• Support ticket work processes, SOV reviews, and requisition approvals
• Manage TCO activities and lead punch list and closeout efforts

• Proven senior-level field leadership experience
• Ability to supervise and mentor field staff
• Excellent communication with project teams and external partners
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• 5–7 years of construction experience
• 1–2 years of healthcare construction experience required
• NYCDOB Registration required
• NYC SST Card required

• Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000
