A premier top-tier law firm is seeking a Senior Sports Transactional Attorney with 6+ years of experience to join its growing New York team. Handle sophisticated sports and entertainment transactions, work directly with industry-leading clients, and play a key role in a rapidly expanding practice.
Although more commonly thought of as a Washington, DC, firm, this New York office has many of the same practice areas. As this firm continues to grow its New York office, this is a tremendous opportunity for associates to get in on the ground floor in terms of shaping the character of the office. We like the litigation work that is being done in this office, as it has a decidedly corporate bent, with an emphasis on securities litigations. A down-to-earth group of attorneys, this office should emerge as a practice unto itself over time.

A prestigious and expanding law firm is seeking a Senior Sports Transactional Attorney to join its New York office. This opportunity offers the chance to work on high-profile sports and entertainment transactions while collaborating with sophisticated clients across professional sports, media, entertainment, and related industries.
The successful candidate will join a highly regarded transactional practice known for handling complex commercial agreements and industry-defining deals. Key Responsibilities
• Negotiate and draft sponsorship agreements and naming rights agreements.
• Structure and negotiate multimedia and procurement agreements.
• Handle franchise acquisition and disposition transactions.
• Draft and negotiate venue development and operations agreements.
• Prepare advertising, promotional, and ticketing agreements.
• Structure joint venture and media rights agreements.
• Advise clients on complex sports and entertainment transactions.
• Collaborate with attorneys across corporate, intellectual property, and real estate practices.
• Manage multiple client matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Qualifications
• Minimum 6+ years of sports transactional experience.
• Significant law firm experience preferred.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience handling sophisticated commercial transactions.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
