The ideal Senior Sous Chef candidate is a proven culinary leader with at least 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably within a hotel environment. They bring a strong foundation in steakhouse or upscale restaurant operations, with a deep understanding of quality, consistency, and execution at scale. This individual demonstrates natural leadership, confidently managing and developing teams while maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. A creative mindset is key, with the ability to contribute to menu development and elevate the guest experience, all while thriving in a fast-paced, demanding setting.

What will I be doing?

As Senior Sous Chef, you would be responsible for leading the culinary team at SER Steak + Spirits in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution of all menu items in a high-volume, upscale environment

  • Supervise, train, and develop culinary team members, fostering a culture of accountability, growth, and teamwork

  • Lead by example on the line, maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation

  • Assist the Executive Chef in menu development, recipe standardization, and seasonal updates

  • Visually inspect, select and use quality food and beverage products including, but not limited to, fruits, vegetables, meats, fish and spices

  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering, and product quality to control costs and minimize waste

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

  • Recruit, interview and train team members
