Senior Sommelier for High volume fine dining restaurant - Caribbean
A major luxury resort in the Bahamas with restaurants known for their unmatched culinary experiences, seeks a well qualified Sommelier with Restaurant Management experience for their high-volume Restaurant that serves Western cuisine and is also known for their Bar and Grill.
This luxury hotel/resort is part of a global luxury hotel organization. So, our client's expectations are high and will consider only those that bring with them extensive knowledge and working experience at Celebrity Chefs restaurants, Michelin Star or large volume fine dining experience. Preference will be given to those who are knowledgeable about their wines!
Client prefers an American or European experienced Restaurant professional with a Sommelier background, strong with Western cuisine.
This role will also require hands-on management abilities, strong operational knowledge and the development of a great rapport with all of the loyal and regular customers.
Other requirements include:
Possess proven abilities in developing teams and implementing effective SOPs.
Able to plan and manage activities with the Marketing department relating to sales promotions, events, etc.
Able to conceptualize and implement staff development plans according to the needs of the business
The Sommelier/Restaurant Manager will be responsible for directing the Front of House team and working with the kitchen staff to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience by the guests. Your previous experiences, knowledge and relationship development skills will be required in leading the team on a daily basis to anticipate the needs of the guests.
