We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help maintain and evolve our existing PCIS (Project Costs Information System) platform, which supports complex cost control, finance, and construction-related workflows. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys working across frontend, backend, data, and Azure infrastructure—and who is motivated by solving real-world business problems through high-impact software.

In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Business Analyst, and third-party contractors, acting as a primary system architect and technical lead for the PCIS platform.

What will you do:

  • Contribute full-stack expertise to maintain and enhance the PCIS application, using Cursor AI as your primary development aid.
  • Develop frontend interfaces using React, TypeScript, Redux Toolkit, and component libraries such as Ant Design and ag-Grid.
  • Build robust backend services using .NET 10, C#, Entity Framework Core, and CQRS patterns.
  • Design and maintain REST APIs and background processing workflows using Hangfire and Azure Service Bus.
  • Integrate with third-party platforms including Procore, DocuSign, Airtable, Qmerit, and Avetta.
  • Implement ETL pipelines and data integrations across SQL Server, datamarts, Dynamics, and analytics platforms.
  • Translate business requirements into thoughtful architectural recommendations and technical solutions in close partnership with the Product Owner and Business Analyst.
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, auditability, and data governance standards.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance and reliability using Azure Application Insights and related telemetry tools.

  • Implement processes and system insights that improve debugging, performance tuning, and long-term platform stability.

  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, documentation standards, and overall code quality.

Support additional tools owned by the broader team outside of PCIS as business needs require.

What will make you successful:

  • Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
  • Partner-oriented mindset—collaborates closely with Product and Business stakeholders to refine requirements, challenge assumptions, and drive toward the best outcome.
  • Excels in navigating ambiguity and proactively creating clarity, structure, and momentum as problems evolve.
  • Demonstrates ownership beyond code, with a focus on delivering solutions that meet real business needs.
  • Able to articulate technical tradeoffs (speed vs. scalability, complexity vs. usability) and guide informed decision-making.
  • Willing to respectfully challenge ideas and influence direction using data and sound technical reasoning.
  • Focused on understanding the underlying business problem, not just executing requirements.
  • Committed to continuous improvement through feedback, iteration, and collaboration with teammates and partners.

What We’re Looking For (Technical Qualifications):

  • Strong experience with .NET / C# and modern backend architecture.
  • Hands-on frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, authentication (OIDC, JWT), and RBAC models.
  • Solid understanding of SQL Server and relational data modeling.
  • Working knowledge of Azure services, including App Services, Azure Landing Zone, Service Bus, Blob Storage, and Application Insights.
  • Experience with background processing, queue-based workflows, and integration-heavy systems.
  • Strong Git/GitHub experience, including code reviews and collaborative development practices.
  • Ability to understand complex business domains and translate them into effective, maintainable software solutions.
  • Strong advocacy for testability, modularity, and long-term maintainability.
