Job Title: Senior Security Engineer
Location: Hybrid – San Diego, CA (3 days onsite per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing effective computing solutions to increase the security of their company's systems and projects.
- In charge of creating new ways to solve existing production security issues and must possess an advanced understanding of intrusion detection and prevention protocols. One of the main responsibilities is to handle technical problems dealing with applications and production equipment. Need to have exceptional incident-response skills, and a high understanding of computer forensics.
- You will assess current workflows to determine possible future issues.
- You will work with other engineers and professionals to deploy new strategies to contain and mitigate production problems.
- Must have strong communications skills and be able to work efficiently in a team setting.
- Must have strong knowledge of common computer languages and operating systems. Work on keeping logs and performing regular security checks to find new vulnerabilities.
- You develop automation scripts to handle and track incidents. Configure and set up firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Respond to network intrusions and be familiar with performing forensic investigation. Test new or upgraded hardware and software and implement new technologies.
- Create test plans which will allow for a proper evaluation of security issues for new hardware and software.
- Identify security solutions and implement a multi-layered defense to protect the networks.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5 years security engineering experience preferred
- Cybersecurity or fraud or threat intelligence experience required
- SQL scripting experience required
- Python scripting experience (Highly preferred)
- Monitor risk controls and alerts for threats
- e-Commerce/ payments/ paid subscription experience preferred
- Python preferred
- Knowledge of AI and/or ML preferred
- Cloud Security experience required
- Strong coding skills
- AWS experience preferred (Will still consider Azure and/or GCP)
- Strong communication skills for team/partner comms
