Senior Scientist, Translational Safety & Computational Biology (CAR-T Cell Therapy)

We are seeking a Senior Scientist to join a Cell Therapy Translational Research team, supporting biomarker-driven analyses and translational safety efforts for CAR-T programs, including cilta-cel (CARVYKTI®).This role sits at the intersection of computational biology, clinical research, and safety science, with a focus on understanding mechanisms underlying immune-mediated toxicities and advancing clinical insights through data.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct biomarker and correlative analyses across CAR-T clinical trial datasets
  • Analyze high-dimensional datasets, including genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and flow cytometry data
  • Support investigations into safety-related events, including neurotoxicity, colitis, HLH, and other immune-mediated toxicities
  • Contribute to safety signal evaluation and mechanism-of-action understanding
  • Integrate clinical and biomarker data to generate actionable insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Translational Research, Clinical Science, Safety, Biomarkers, and Bioinformatics teams
  • Prepare analyses, visualizations, and summaries for internal discussions and regulatory documentation
  • Ensure data quality, scientific rigor, and clear documentation of all analyses

Qualifications

Education

  • MSc or PhD in Computational Biology, Data Science, Immunology, Oncology, Molecular Biology, or a related field

Experience

  • Approximately 5+ years of experience in translational research, computational biology, or clinical data science
  • Demonstrated expertise in biomarker analysis and correlative science within clinical or translational research
  • Experience working with clinical trial data and associated metadata
  • Oncology experience required; CAR-T or cell therapy experience strongly preferred

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in R for data analysis
  • Experience analyzing high-throughput and multi-omic datasets
  • Familiarity with flow cytometry data analysis
  • Strong statistical foundation applied to biological and clinical data

Additional Information

  • Industry experience preferred; candidates with strong academic experience will also be considered
  • Laboratory experience is beneficial but not required, as this role is data-focused
