A Senior SAP SuccessFactors Consultant with 8-10 years of experience is a high-level specialist responsible for the end-to-end design, implementation, and maintenance of critical HR technology systems. This role requires a blend of deep functional expertise in Payroll and Time Management, alongside technical mastery of SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) to ensure seamless data flow across the enterprise.
Core Responsibilities
- Payroll & Time Configuration: Lead the end-to-end configuration of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP), including payroll schemas, Personnel Calculation Rules (PCRs), wage types, and off-cycle processing.
- Time Entry & Integration: Manage the replication of time data from SuccessFactors Time Management to Payroll, ensuring accurate valuation of hours worked, absences, and premiums for pay statements.
- CPI Development & Management: Design, develop, and maintain robust integration flows (iFlows) using SAP CPI to connect SuccessFactors with on-premise SAP HCM, third-party vendors (e.g., ADP), and finance systems.
- Stakeholder Advisory: Act as a primary advisor to HR and IT leadership, defining digital roadmaps, leading requirements-gathering workshops, and translating complex business goals into scalable technical solutions.
- Production Support: Provide expert-level troubleshooting for complex payroll discrepancies, retroactive processing issues, and integration failures.
- Compliance & Updates: Monitor and apply periodic SAP notes, patches, and tax updates (e.g., BSI TaxFactory) to ensure the system remains compliant with regional and legal regulations
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of professional experience in SAP SuccessFactors and Payroll systems, with at least 4–5 years focused specifically on SAP CPI.
- Technical Mastery:
- Integration: Expertise in OData APIs, SOAP/REST web services, SFTP, and message mapping within the SAP Integration Suite.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages like Groovy or JavaScript for custom business logic in CPI is often required.
- Payroll Components: Hands-on experience with Payroll Control Center (PCC), Point-to-Point (PTP) replication, and ECP tax model setup.
- Functional Knowledge: Deep understanding of core HR data structures, worker lifecycle events, and global payroll processes.
- Methodology: Solid experience with SAP Activate or Agile delivery methodologies for full-cycle implementations.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, the ability to mentor junior consultants, and excellent presentation skills for senior-level stakeholders
