Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is hiring a Senior SAP Functional Analyst in Eagan, MN. We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive professional to serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our SAP ECC 6.0 EHP7 environment. This is a high-impact, end-to-end role acting as the bridge between Finance business partners and technical teams, including Basis and ABAP.
As our sole Senior SAP Functional Analyst, you will own the health, configuration, and ongoing evolution of a Financial (FI)-centric SAP landscape, leading solution design and functional configuration across FI-GL, AP, AR, Treasury, and FS-CD. You will oversee daily production support, manage a complex ecosystem of third-party integrations—including Workday, Kyriba, Concur, Blackline, Zycus, and TM1; and collaborate on custom enhancements and Fiori applications. This role also includes ownership of release, transport, testing, and change management processes, ensuring a stable, scalable, and well-governed SAP environment.
Your Responsibilities
· Analyze, design, configure, debug, maintain new or existing SAP systems.
· Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, developers, and testers to iteratively deliver functional software to production.
· Provide leadership for projects and products to ensure usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness.
· Work with analysts and customers to establish product or project requirements.
· Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance.
· Perform system administration activities including data loading, data migration/conversion, data clean-up tasks, system integration monitoring, etc.
· Research technology trends and contribute to designs and platform decisions.
· Mentor, lead, train other team members.
· This job may include on-call duties.
Required Skills and Experience
· 5+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
· Cloud Service Provider Certification (e.g., AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, etc.) – required within 1 year of employment
· Essential Candidate Qualities:
· Knowledge, experience, and familiarity with:
· Experience with automated and manual testing coordination and using change management tools to move transports through the landscape.
· High school diploma (or equivalency) and legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Skills and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· SAP Certifications in FI/CO are a plus.
· Experience with the following ecosystems:
· Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
· A self-starter comfortable being the "sole expert" and taking full ownership of the functional domain.
· A "detective" mindset for troubleshooting data discrepancies across multiple integrated systems.
· Comfortable running meetings, driving deadlines, and managing expectations at the leadership level.
Compensation and Benefits:
Pay Range: $102,400.00 - $138,300.00 - $174,200.00 Annual
