We are seeking a Senior Environmental Remediation Estimator to join our team, playing a pivotal role in project procurement and preconstruction planning. This position is responsible for developing detailed cost estimates for complex remediation projects including soil excavation, soil stabilization, environmental dredging, groundwater remediation systems, hazardous material removal, site restoration, and environmental demolition.


The ideal candidate brings extensive experience estimating environmental construction and heavy civil projects, with a strong understanding of the technical and regulatory considerations that drive remediation projects.


Qualifications - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • 10–15+ years of experience in environmental remediation, heavy civil construction, or environmental construction estimating
  • Experience estimating projects for government agencies, industrial clients, and utilities
  • Strong knowledge of remediation construction methods, environmental regulations, soil treatment technologies, excavation, and disposal logistics
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification


Qualifications - Preferred

  • Proficiency in estimating software such as Bid2Win (B2W), Construction Link (CLI), or comparable systems
  • Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to write and prepare technical proposals


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed cost estimates and technical proposals for environmental remediation and construction projects
  • Identify project risks and develop value engineering solutions.
  • Review plans, specifications, geotechnical reports, and environmental data to determine project scope
  • Conduct site visits to assess field conditions and project scope
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and constructability reviews
  • Prepare competitive bids, proposals, and cost breakdowns
  • Analyze costs including labor, equipment, materials, disposal, transportation, and subcontractors
  • Evaluate subcontractor bids and vendor pricing
  • Assist with change order pricing and project cost forecasting
  • Ensure estimates align with bid documents
  • Work closely with project managers, field operations, and executive leadership to develop winning bid strategies
  • Support transition from preconstruction to operations after project award

Employment Status: Full-time, Exempt

Location: Waterford, NY

Base Salary:  $125,000 – $175,000 per year
