OverviewThe Senior Regional Security Manger for the Americas is a senior leadership role responsible for leading physical security, life safety, risk management, and incident response operations across North America and South America. This role oversees regional operations, manages security partners, supports global security initiatives, and ensures alignment with enterprise standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in program development, stakeholder engagement, process optimization, and operational maturity, enabling the continuous enhancement of our regional security posture.
How you'll make an impactProgram Development & Optimization
- Assess and continuously mature regional security programs to improve risk visibility, operational resilience, and consistency across North and South America.
- Implement improvements to policies, procedures, and security governance frameworks in alignment with global standards.
- Adapt global security policies, standards, and procedures to align with local regulatory, privacy, and labor requirements while maintaining enterprise consistency.
- Navigate regional governance considerations, including employee representative bodies when introducing security processes or technologies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across physical security operations, technology, and service delivery.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure security processes integrate effectively with business operations.
- Develop and manage regional security budget, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
- Contribute to strategic planning for physical security and risk management initiatives across the Americas.
Regional Security Operations
- Direct and govern regional security operations across multiple countries and risk profiles.
- Serve as the regional escalation authority in partnership with the Global Security Response Center (GSRC) for incidents, crises, and executive risk matters.
- Manage guard force operations, vendor contracts, SLAs, and performance metrics.
- Conduct risk assessments, physical security audits, and readiness reviews.
- Ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations and standards.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact physical security operations and implement adjustments to stay in compliance.
Risk, Threat, & Incident Management
- Support or lead incident response for regional safety, physical security, and business continuity events.
- Act as key spokesperson during security incidents, ensuring clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Security Risk Intelligence & Executive Protection teams to ensure proactive monitoring and protective measures for key personnel, facilities, and travelers.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal partners (Legal, HR, IT, Real Estate, Compliance, BC) to ensure coordinated response during regional events.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as the primary regional advisor to senior business leaders, enabling informed decisions around travel, workplace security, events, and emerging threats.
- Translate security and threat intelligence into clear, actionable insights for non-security stakeholders.
- Deliver reporting, dashboards, and insights to executive stakeholders and Global Safety & Security leadership.
- Establish strong working relationships with regional business leaders to ensure our program continues to support business needs.
- Build and maintain relationships with local law enforcement, emergency services, and community organizations to strengthen regional security partnerships.
- Represent Gallagher at industry events, conferences, and forums.
About YouRequired: Bachelor's degree in Corporate/Information Security, Criminal Justice, Crisis Management, Business, or related field + 9 years of experience in one or all of the following disciplines; corporate security management, security and asset policy development, and physical security infrastructure design, within a multi-location global corporate environment or 15+ years of applicable experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to concisely and effectively address questions while providing subject matter expertise on policy to associates and management across diverse global sites. Ability to travel (10%).
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, International Relations, Business, Emergency Management, or related field.
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in physical security, crisis management, or corporate risk roles, including multi-country oversight.
- Demonstrated ability to enhance, optimize, or elevate security programs or operations.
- Experience with GSOC collaboration, incident management, and regional security response.
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems and technology platforms.
- Skilled at managing vendors and complex service delivery models.
- Strong communication skills with proven experience partnering with senior leadership.
- Strong MS Office proficiency.
- Ability to travel regionally (25-40%), as well as internationally outside the Americas when required.
Preferred
- Certified Emergency Manger (CEM)
- ISO 31000 Risk Management Certification
- Experience in regulated environments
- Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is highly desirable
- Experience rolling out or maturing regional security standards, audits, or governance frameworks.
Compensation and benefitsWe offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
