What You’ll Do:
- Perform in-process mechanical inspections using calipers, height gauges, micrometers, thread gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Identify and document non-conformances in accordance with AS9100 policies, generating accurate NC reports in the quality database.
- Monitor production processes to detect quality issues early, preventing defects and ensuring parts meet strict specifications.
- Communicate and collaborate with production managers, leads, and cross-functional teams to resolve inspection issues quickly and efficiently.
- Support other departments when challenges arise, taking ownership to keep production moving and maintain high standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanical or quality inspector in a job shop, fab shop, or machine shop environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering-level drawings with linear dimensioning and tolerance specifications.
- Strong knowledge of precision measuring instruments, including calipers, height gauges, micrometers, protractors, and CMMs.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality standards and experience documenting non-conformances.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with a proactive, take-charge attitude in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
