Role:- QA Analyst / QA Lead
Job Description
The cLIENT is responsible for administering the adult-use and medical cannabis programs within the State of Vermont.
The IT Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will support the State of Vermont Cannabis Control Board (CCB) in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of its Salesforce-based application. The role involves planning, designing, and executing testing strategies while collaborating closely with business teams, developers, and product owners in an Agile/Scrum environment.
The QA Analyst will be responsible for validating system functionality related to licensing, inventory tracking, compliance, and regulatory processes, while ensuring that all software releases meet defined quality standards.
Note: Candidates with prior State of Vermont experience or relevant domain experience (regulatory, licensing, or cannabis industry) will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts
• Perform manual and automated testing
• Conduct regression testing to validate system stability
• Identify, document, and track defects and bugs
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners
• Facilitate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Maintain test documentation, QA reports, and quality metrics
• Use Azure DevOps for test management and defect tracking
• Ensure testing completeness, coverage, and compliance
• Support Agile processes including sprint testing and releases
• Communicate testing results and risks to stakeholders
• Recommend improvements to QA processes and tools

Key Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
• Strong experience in QA testing methodologies (manual & automation)
• Experience with Salesforce application testing
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of test automation tools (e.g., Testim)
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations
• Experience in defect tracking and test management tools
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience with UAT coordination
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into test cases
• Experience in regulatory or compliance-driven environments (preferred)
