Senior Project Manager

Dizario search is currently helping a client, a brand leader in their industry, search for a Senior Project Manager in Newaygo County, MI. This Senior Project Manager plays a critical role in bridging research and development with full-scale commercial production. This position is responsible for guiding new products, processes, and technologies from the laboratory stage through pilot-scale implementation, ensuring a smooth and efficient path to commercialization. The role combines technical leadership with project execution, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the transition of product concepts into pilot plants, prototypes, or limited production systems
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure pilot programs are completed safely, efficiently, and within scope
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and technical teams to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and software challenges during early-stage development
• Oversee capital expenditures, including equipment procurement, vendor coordination, and maintenance planning
• Apply data-driven methodologies, digital tools, and process optimization techniques to improve performance before full-scale commercialization
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, operational protocols, and regulatory requirements throughout all project phases

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience combining hands-on engineering, process development, and project or team leadership
• Proven experience managing projects, including exposure to capital project planning and execution (CapEx experience preferred)
• Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), risk assessment, and data analysis
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
