Senior Agile Project Manager – Financial & Technology Risk

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnered with a mission‑driven, nationally recognized organization operating at the intersection of financial services, technology risk, and critical infrastructure resilience on a Senior Agile Program Manager search.
This role supports a high‑visibility Financial Risk function working closely with senior leaders across major financial institutions and regulatory stakeholders. The organization is seeking an experienced Program / Project Manager who can shepherd complex initiatives, keep teams aligned, and drive execution in a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑heavy environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Translate strategic objectives into detailed workplans, timelines, and task ownership
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives, including dependencies, risks, and delivery milestones
- Develop and maintain program schedules, resource plans, and delivery roadmaps
- Deliver concise, executive‑level updates on project status, risks, and outcomes
- Establish execution governance, cadence, and reporting mechanisms
- Facilitate stand‑ups, execution reviews, and decision forums
- Coordinate governance materials, stakeholder decks, and industry‑facing documentation
- Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure aligned execution
- Proactively surface and escalate risks that could impact delivery
- Coach and guide peers while delivering against defined KPIs and program objectives
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of Project or Program Management experience (Financial Services preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Experience operating in high‑profile, stakeholder‑rich environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication with executive presence
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize critical workstreams
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and tight timelines
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to drive alignment and resolve conflict
- High integrity, sound judgment, and discretion handling sensitive information
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- U.S. Citizenship required (no exceptions)
