Due to continued growth and an expanding project pipeline—particularly in data centers and secure facilities (SCIF environments)—the company is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Estimator to join their Richmond team.

About the Position

The Senior Project Manager / Estimator will play a critical dual role supporting both preconstruction and project execution. This individual will lead the estimating process for commercial interior systems projects while also managing awarded projects from handoff through closeout.

This position requires a strong understanding of drywall, metal stud framing, and interior systems construction, along with the leadership skills necessary to manage multiple projects, maintain strong relationships with general contractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction / Estimating

  • Review construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate project estimates
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost proposals
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids and negotiated proposals
  • Participate in scope reviews and value engineering opportunities

Project Management

  • Manage projects from contract award through completion
  • Coordinate with field teams, superintendents, subcontractors, and general contractors
  • Lead project meetings and maintain strong client relationships
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, procurement, and change orders
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project plans, safety standards, and contract requirements

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Years of Experience

  • 10–15 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably within drywall, metal framing, or interior systems
