Engineering Project Manager – Transmission Line

Overview

Lead engineering delivery for high-voltage transmission projects from concept through construction and closeout. Act as the technical lead while coordinating engineering, operations, clients, and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across all project phases (design → construction → closeout)
• Collaborate with leadership on technical strategy and execution
• Manage external engineering consultants and performance metrics
• Ensure quality standards, engineering controls, and compliance
• Support field operations and client engagement (incl. site visits)
• Plan engineering resources and lead team development/training
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and client meetings
• Drive process improvements, innovation, and best practices
• Maintain strong safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Requirements

• 10+ years in utility / transmission engineering
• Engineering degree (ABET accredited); PE preferred
• Strong experience delivering complex HV projects
• Background in civil, structural, or electrical engineering
• Knowledge of utility standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, etc.)
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and commercial awareness
