Role Overview

The Sr. Project Manager, Commercial plays a critical role in driving execution and operational excellence across the Commercial organization. The individual in this role will manage complex cross‑functional projects, and establishes the operational infrastructure needed to proactively prioritize, plan, and deliver high‑impact work.

Responsibilities

Commercial Project Leadership

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning, coordination, and delivery of cross‑functional commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives and on‑time execution.

  • Partner with stakeholders to scope project requirements, estimate resource needs, and develop actionable project timelines. 

Commercial Operations & Process Optimization

  • Build and manage a formal intake and prioritization process for Commercial Operations, ensuring clarity on project requests, business impact, and resource allocation.
  • Develop a prioritization framework (e.g., ROI, effort, alignment) to objectively evaluate and rank initiatives for Commercial Operations leadership.
  • Monitor team capacity, workload, and milestones to inform resource planning and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Define KPIs to track project success, throughput, and operational performance.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a key connector between Commercial Operations and Technology project management teams to ensure coordinated execution.
  • Communicate project timelines, risks, and status updates clearly to stakeholders and resolve issues that may impact delivery.
  • Influence cross‑functional alignment by providing data‑driven recommendations and facilitating decision‑making in a matrixed environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • 7+ years of experience in project management or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with technology release schedules.
  • Experience in biotech, diagnostics, medical device, life sciences, or related industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross‑functional teams in a matrix environment.
  • Experience developing workflows, intake processes, or operational systems using tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills, including the ability to navigate competing priorities.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
