Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- 5+ years of project engineering experience supporting capital projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Hands-on experience supporting equipment installation, utilities, and facility upgrades
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, AHUs, cleanroom environments, and process equipment
- Experience supporting filling lines and/or isolator installations strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of cGMP requirements and regulated project execution
- Strong coordination skills working with contractors, vendors, and site teams
Preferred Experience:
- Capital project experience in active manufacturing facilities
- Experience supporting projects valued in the tens to hundreds of millions
- Familiarity with commissioning and handover support (engineering readiness)
Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support 2–3 large capital projects for a pharmaceutical client in the Andover, MA area. The Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating installation activities for major equipment and facility upgrades, including a new filling line, facility teardown and rebuild, multiple air handling units (AHUs), and a new isolator system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day project engineering support for 2 large capital utility and manufacturing projects
- Support capital execution activities for: Installation of a new filling line, Gutting and retrofit of an existing facility, Installation of five (5) new AHUs, Installation and integration of a new isolator
- Coordinate engineering deliverables across utilities, HVAC, cleanroom, and process equipment
- Serve as technical liaison between internal stakeholders, contractors, EPCs, and equipment vendors
- Support equipment installation, field execution, commissioning readiness, and turnover
- Ensure projects are executed in compliance with cGMP, Pfizer engineering standards, and site procedures
- Support review of design packages, P&IDs, layouts, and vendor submittals
- Participate in schedule tracking, risk identification, and issue resolution
- Support construction and installation activities to ensure scope, quality, and safety expectations are met
