Overview
The Senior Program Manager (Sr. PgM) applies program management principles to lead and coordinate a collection of related projects within a defined market vertical. This role is accountable for ensuring that all program components are strategically aligned, integrated, and managed in a way that delivers cohesive benefits and achieves the objectives of both the program and NV5. The Sr. PgM oversees multiple concurrent projects and provides leadership, guidance, and support throughout each project’s lifecycle to ensure they collectively contribute to the program’s success. Acting as the central point of alignment, the Sr. PgM works closely with Project Managers (PMs) to maintain visibility across interdependencies, optimize resource utilization, mitigate risks, and ensure that individual project outcomes advance overall program goals. In partnership with the Practice Leads, Directors, and Sales, the Sr. PgM helps develop, implement, and refine tools, systems, and processes that enhance operational efficiency and performance across the program. This includes driving consistency, enabling effective governance, and ensuring that program and project key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.

Qualifications
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
PMP or other Project Management degree or credential.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
10+ years’ experience in a technical and professional environment.
8+ years’ project management experience.
5+ years’ experience leading teams.
Experience/Skills Preferred (in addition to requirements):
Bachelor's degree in business, geography, GIS, science, or engineering program.
Master’s or higher in marine, hydrologic or hydrographic sciences.
PMP or other Project Management degree or credential.
Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP).
ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist.
Experience with change-management processes.
Experience working with software development teams.
Experience working with GIS software packages.
12+ years’ experience in both a professional and technical environment.
10+ years’ project management experience.
6+ years’ experience leading teams.
