Sr. Process Engineer & Strategy Analyst


Tegre Corporation is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Process Engineer & Strategy Analyst to support both our Project Execution group and our growing Emissions Solutions business line. This dual-role position blends deep technical engineering with strategic business analysis to drive innovative and cost-effective solutions for complex client challenges.

You will lead process design efforts on a wide variety of projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the development of high-impact strategies that fuel our growth and success. This is a key position that bridges technical excellence with business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Engineering: Deliver process engineering design across all phases—conceptual, front-end, and detailed design.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare key deliverables including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), equipment datasheets, line sizing calculations, and complete Process Design Packages.
  • Simulation & Modeling: Utilize HYSYS and other process simulation tools to conduct analysis and validate design assumptions.
  • Project Execution: Collaborate closely with project managers and cross-discipline teams to ensure timely and high-quality project deliverables.
  • Mentorship: Coach and support junior process engineers in developing their technical capabilities.
  • Operational Support: Troubleshoot issues during construction, commissioning, and operations, recommending practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
  • Process Safety: Provide input into Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and participate actively in safety review processes.
  • Strategic Analysis: Analyze and develop process strategies and economic models for complex, open-ended problems; translate insights into actionable, value-driven solutions for clients.
  • Client Engagement: Work directly with clients across technical, business development, and executive levels.


Core Competencies and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (required); PE License (preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant process engineering experience in the oil and gas sector
  • Strong background in gas processing, refining, and/or upstream production processing
  • Proficient in HYSYS and other process simulation/modeling tools
  • In-depth knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and best practices
  • Proven experience delivering feasibility studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), and basic/detailed engineering
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a business-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders
