Position Overview
Dyer Bregman & Ferris, PLLC is seeking a seasoned Probate Paralegal with at least five years of substantive probate and estate administration experience to join our established and growing Phoenix law firm. This is a senior-level role for a paralegal who thrives in a high-responsibility environment, can manage multiple matters with minimal supervision, and is comfortable shifting priorities quickly as probate matters evolve.
This position is not entry-level. We are specifically interested in candidates who have deep, hands-on probate experience and can independently manage files, anticipate issues, and support attorneys at a high level.
Who This Role Is For
This role is ideal for a probate paralegal who:
- Has 5+ years of dedicated probate experience (estate administration, informal and formal probates, and court filings)
- Is highly detail-oriented and understands the importance of precision in probate matters
- Functions well under pressure and can change gears instantly based on court deadlines, client needs, or attorney priorities
- Takes ownership of files and follows matters through from opening to closing
- Values professionalism, accountability, and working as part of a collaborative legal team
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact with probate clients, personal representatives, beneficiaries, attorneys, court staff, and third parties
- Independently manage probate files from initiation through closeout, including calendaring, deadlines, and required filings
- Draft, review, and prepare probate pleadings, correspondence, and related documents with accuracy and efficiency
- Electronically file probate pleadings with Arizona courts and ensure compliance with applicable statutes and court rules
- Maintain detailed and organized case records while safeguarding confidential information
- Proactively track court deadlines, statutory timelines, and follow-up items
- Utilize practice management and document management systems to track tasks, deadlines, and communications
- Support attorneys by anticipating needs and identifying potential issues before they arise
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience, with significant probate and estate administration experience required
- Strong working knowledge of Arizona probate procedures, court rules, and statutory deadlines
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel); experience with Tabs/PracticeMaster or similar systems preferred
- Professional judgment, discretion, and a high level of ethical standards

Our firm includes 22 attorneys and approximately 20 staff members and maintains a strong probate and trusts practice.
