Senior Piping Designer

Job Summary:

An immediate opportunity is available for multiple Senior Piping Designers to support a fast-paced industrial plant redevelopment project in Beaumont, TX. The client is executing a design-build model under an aggressive schedule, with construction and design progressing simultaneously. This role is focused on execution and field-ready deliverables rather than front-end conceptual design. Candidates must be able to work independently, take completed P&IDs, and quickly convert them into fabrication and installation drawings with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret completed P&IDs and produce piping isometrics for fabrication and field installation.
• Develop spool drawings, BOMs, weld maps, and construction-ready piping deliverables.
• Prepare installation drawings, tie-in packages, and general arrangement layouts.
• Support concurrent construction activities by prioritizing urgent field deliverables.
• Coordinate closely with onsite construction, operations, and engineering teams.
• Identify practical routing, support, and constructability solutions in an active plant environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience converting P&IDs into piping isometrics with limited oversight.
• Strong background in brownfield, retrofit, or live plant piping projects.
• Experience in chemical, petrochemical, plastics, or industrial processing facilities.
• Strong understanding of piping layout, supports, field fit-up, and constructability.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-moving execution environment.

Preferred Software Experience:

• AutoCAD Plant 3D
• CADWorx
• SmartPlant 3D / AVEVA E3D
• AutoCAD 2D with strong ISO drafting experience
