About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Paralegal to play a critical role in supporting corporate governance and insurance regulatory compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work at a high level with executive leadership, regulatory agencies, and cross‑functional partners, handling complex filings and confidential matters that directly impact the organization’s compliance posture and corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, file, and manage regulatory documentation with agencies including the Department of Insurance and Secretary of State
  • Draft, review, and submit board of directors and committee materials, certifications, resolutions, and other corporate governance documents
  • Conduct legal and corporate research; analyze, summarize, and present findings in clear, actionable formats
  • Prepare and file SEC Section 16 filings (Forms ID, 3, 4, and 5)
  • Prepare and submit NYSE filings using Filing Manager
  • Coordinate and submit foreign filings and related regulatory questionnaires
  • Manage and support UCAA (Uniform Certificate of Authority Application) filings
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and key stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and on‑time delivery
  • Handle sensitive, confidential, and privileged information with professionalism and discretion
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong focus on insurance, regulatory, and corporate environments
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and filing documents with regulatory agencies
  • Experience supporting board-level and executive governance activities
  • Working knowledge of SEC Section 16 filings, and insurance regulatory requirements
  • Proven ability to manage complex filings, deadlines, and multiple priorities at an expert level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Paralegal certification
  • Deep familiarity with insurance regulatory frameworks and multi‑jurisdictional filings
Skills & Expertise
  • Advanced paralegal and legal research skills
  • Insurance regulatory environment experience
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and judgment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with legal, compliance, and executive teams
Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
