We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing support of complex enterprise network environments. This role will play a critical part in ensuring high availability, security, scalability, and performance across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud-based infrastructures. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on networking expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to serve as a technical escalation point and mentor.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architectures including LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and data center networks
- Lead network modernization initiatives, performance optimization, and capacity planning efforts
- Serve as a senior escalation resource for complex network incidents and root-cause analysis
- Implement and support network security controls, segmentation, and best practices
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, and application teams to support business initiatives
- Develop and maintain detailed network documentation, standards, and diagrams
- Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements or enhancements
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior network engineers
Requirements (Technical Overview & Skills)
- 7+ years of professional experience designing and supporting enterprise network environments
- Strong expertise with routing and switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP)
- Extensive experience with firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and network security principles
- Proven hands-on experience with major network vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Juniper, Aruba, or similar)
- Solid understanding of WAN technologies, SD-WAN, and high-availability architectures
- Experience supporting hybrid or cloud-connected networks (AWS, Azure, or GCP connectivity)
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across complex, multi-site environments
- Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, QoS, and network monitoring tools
- Ability to design scalable, resilient, and secure network solutions
- Experience automating network tasks using scripting or infrastructure-as-code tools is a plus
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, AWS/Azure Networking, or equivalent)
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or highly regulated environments
- Exposure to Zero Trust, SASE, or modern security frameworks
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
