Senior National Account Sales Manager (Sr. NASM)

The Director of Sales position spearheads the company’s efforts to grow and expand relationships with its retail partners offering the most creative products in the industry. This position is responsible for achieving sales quotas and executing strategic and assigned account methodologies. The candidate would represent the entire range of product categories & brand initiatives while collaborating with product development teams. Directly responsible for identifying opportunities with retailer partners, actively prospecting new business, and mentoring junior sales team members.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategize with the Senior Management to continue the development of the categories we sell and set weekly, monthly sales goals
  • Develop a key account strategy based on the company’s current market position with retail space
  • Pioneer and create new opportunities with strategic accounts; initiate and cultivate relationships, identify white space opportunities and generate sales
  • Manage, maintain and grow current key accounts
  • Become immersed and educated in all the categories, brands and licensed products the company has to offer
  • Conduct extensive research for each and every account, including store surveys and trend identification to create a recommended product offering which is unique and will result in above average selling for your customer
  • Consult with retailers to drive increases in their business
  • Establishes and maintains industry contacts representing the company to key customers.
  • Fosters entrepreneurial actions that lead to increased brand awareness and ultimately sales.
  • Research, analyze and stay abreast of current market trends and competition
  • Travel approximately 25%.
  • Lift and carry suitcases of up to 50 lbs.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous wholesale or retail product experience preferred
  • Have ten plus years of direct sales experience - optimally in apparel, accessories, celebrations and/or home categories catering to major retailers especially Walmart and Sam’s.
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills
  • Delivers growth strategies and results consistent with Packed Party accessories, home, and party categories.
  • Ability to leverages category/consumer understanding and insights to drive category strategies/initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to create a results driven, team oriented environment.
  • Must demonstrate a passion for driving sales and achieving growth
  • Bring a strategic approach to the business creating profitable, trend right, consumer specific sales programs.
  • Possess the ability to survey the market - then identify customer needs and transition them into actionable sales opportunities.
  • Embody leadership and can educate and mentor a sales team.
  • Proven ability to grow and maintain strong relationships
  • Recognize the importance of critical thinking with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects.
  • Have impeccable presentation skills and have the ability to develop relationships at all levels of retailers including Sr. leadership
  • Have experience using Microsoft Software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, Centric, and/or Database related programs.


EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university and a proven background in sales, retail and management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
