Post Closing Analyst (Mid-Level) | Mortgage Operations & Collateral Management

About the Role
An established financial services organisation is seeking a Mid-Level Post Closing Analyst to support mortgage operations, collateral management, and post-closing analytics within a high-performing real estate and lending environment.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented analyst with strong mortgage operations knowledge, reporting expertise, and experience identifying process improvements across post-closing functions. You’ll work cross-functionally with operational and business teams to ensure data integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage daily/ad hoc reporting to identify trends, discrepancies, and operational risks within post-closing processes
- Analyse post-closing data and provide actionable recommendations to management
- Investigate root causes of data discrepancies and recommend system/process enhancements
- Partner with internal teams to resolve data issues and improve operational accuracy
- Support process improvement initiatives and implementation of new tools, systems, and workflows
- Maintain and update operational procedures and documentation
- Provide analytical and operational support to business teams
- Ensure compliance with mortgage lending regulations, risk policies, and internal controls
- Develop strong knowledge across post-closing operations and related systems
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent relevant experience
- 4+ years’ experience in mortgage operations and analytical functions within financial services
- Knowledge of federal mortgage lending regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with the ability to interpret reporting dashboards and operational data
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational systems
Preferred Experience
- Experience in collateral management or document custody
- Understanding of post-closing collateral processes and document retention requirements
- Experience researching, reconciling, and resolving collateral discrepancies or missing documentation
- Familiarity with investor and agency guidelines relating to mortgage collateral handling
- Strong multitasking and organisational skills
