- Translate system-level requirements into optical, electrical, and mechanical specifications
- Design for reliability, manufacturability, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate closely with PIC teams to ensure seamless optical engine integration
- Optimise optical coupling, alignment, and packaging approaches
- Oversee high-speed PCB design, ensuring signal and power integrity
- Support integration of DSPs, drivers, and analogue front-end components
- Conduct thermal modelling and develop cooling strategies for high-power modules
- Develop and execute module-level test and characterisation plans
- Lead system-level validation in real-world or customer-like environments
- Build, test, and troubleshoot early-stage prototypes at the bench
- Engage with external vendors and partners to qualify components
- Define design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) strategies
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and reliability requirements
- Support technical discussions with customers and partners
Required Skills & Experience
