The Lead Medical Assistant (Lead MA) provides hands-on clinical support while serving as the primary clinical lead for the Medical Assistant team within the Neuroscience Service Line, which includes Neurology, Neurosurgery, Stroke, and ALS clinics. This role ensures consistent clinical workflows, quality standards, staff competency, and effective communication between Medical Assistants, providers, and leadership. The Lead MA remains a clinical role, maintaining direct patient care responsibilities while supporting operational excellence and staff development.

What you will need:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Current BLS from American Heart Association certification is required, including stop the bleed training.
Graduate of a medical assistant program.
Minimum of 6+ year related experience in medical office setting is preferred.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 codes and health care insurance is preferred.
Ability to calm patients by being supportive is necessary.
Good interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, staff and visitors are necessary.
