Job Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer ensures the reliability, efficiency, and performance of key mechanical and process systems supporting 24/7 RAS operations. The role focuses on water treatment, heat transfer, fluid systems, and equipment such as HVAC, chillers, pumps, valves, PLC controls, and filtration systems. Success requires strong problem-solving skills, experience in continuous/batch environments, and the ability to lead projects that enhance uptime, energy efficiency, and system stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency
- Lead and coordinate projects related to system design, optimization, and performance
- Analyze system data to drive improvements in uptime and efficiency
- Manage capital projects from planning through execution and evaluation
- Troubleshoot and optimize mechanical systems including HVAC, pumps, and filtration
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and controls teams
- Support and optimize PLC/automation systems
- Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies
- Drive continuous improvement in energy usage, water quality, and system performance
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners
Qualifications:
- 5–10 years of mechanical/operational engineering experience
- Background in continuous industrial environments (e.g., utilities, water treatment, food processing, chemical plants)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred)
- Strong project management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
- Experience in marine or similar engineering environments is a plus

- Standard weekday schedule with flexibility for project and operational needs
