Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial, institutional, government, and industrial projects. This role requires strong technical expertise, project leadership, client engagement, and team mentorship capabilities. The ideal candidate will contribute to business growth initiatives while ensuring successful project execution and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and industrial projects
• Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
• Perform HVAC load calculations, system evaluations, and engineering analyses
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, contractors, and stakeholders
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and client requirements
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables
• Develop proposals and support project pursuits and client presentations
• Support business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams
• Provide consulting expertise and technical support directly to clients
• Contribute to team development, collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from an accredited institution
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum 10 years of Mechanical Engineering experience
• Experience designing HVAC and plumbing systems
• Experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction industry
• Proficiency with load calculation software
• Experience using AutoCAD and Revit
• Strong project management and leadership experience
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills

• Business development and client relationship management experience
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical teams
• Energy modeling experience
• Experience leading interdisciplinary engineering teams
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Existing professional network and client relationships within the local market

This is a direct hire opportunity. The selected candidate will be employed directly by our client. All compensation and benefits, including but not limited to medical insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other perks, will be provided by the client in accordance with their internal policies and subject to applicable laws and eligibility requirements.
Pay Range: $100,000 – $150,000 per year (depending on experience)
