W2 Contract – 6 months with possible extensions!

Summary of the Role:

BEPC is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client’s site in Phoenix, AZ. This role will support the design, development, and engineering of products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. The position collaborates across engineering teams to create solutions that meet evolving customer needs and participates in all phases of product development while working with innovative products and technologies.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

• Imagine, design, and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to create solutions and systems that meet evolving customer needs.
• Participate in all phases of product development.
• Refine engineering skills in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies.
• Collaborate in project teams to establish effective solutions to complex engineering problems.
• Develop modern solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Perform design engineering using CAD-based modeling.
• Conduct engineering analysis and weight optimization.
• Support Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and cost estimation activities.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations.
• Incorporate Voice of Customer considerations into design activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• 6+ years of mechanical design and engineering experience using NX and Teamcenter.
• Experience in engine or APU design.
• Proven application of ASME Y14.5 drawing standards, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), both in generating drawings and reviewing drawings created by others.}
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with aerospace propulsion systems (engines/APUs).
• Experience with NX advanced modeling and large assemblies.
• Experience with Teamcenter change management and product lifecycle processes.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and production support.
• Experience performing structural/thermal analysis and weight optimization of aerospace components.
