The Wealth Management Learning & Coaching (WML&C) team is responsible for empowering our sales professionals to build trusted relationships and deliver modern wealth management to our clients through world-class learning and coaching experiences. Our goal is to enable increased engagement and retention of clients, enhance confidence in the professionals we support, and improve overall sales professional performance.

The Senior Manager, Learning & Coaching Strategy will be responsible for:

  • Strategic Program Management, Intake & Prioritization
    • Managing intake and prioritization processes through Smartsheet to ensure alignment of priorities, resources, and portfolio of work across WML&C team. Collaborate with team members and partners to ensure alignment, buy-in and implementation strategy.
    • Providing strategic project leadership and channel support across key strategic initiatives, including day-to-day management, project plans, executive updates, stakeholder feedback and performance measurement.
    • Influencing and gaining alignment with leadership team members and partners for continued agreement on strategic roadmap, priorities, and timing of field deployment.

  • Platform Management and Strategy
    • Defining and executing technology strategy and roadmap to revamp structure and accelerate usage of Branch and Sales learning platform (Allego).
    • Plan and manage the execution of workstreams to increase automation, effectiveness, scale and usage of AI (SmartSheet, CoPilot, Microsoft tools, etc.).
    • Leveraging AI and other technologies to enhance efficiency of competitive intelligence services, streamline information management processes, and provide timely responses to critical needs.

  • Retail Sales Competitive Intelligence Program
    • Maintaining and enhancing Competitive Intelligence resources on the internal Knowledge Center, quick reference guides, and monthly newsletter.
    • Enhancing strategy to address feedback and timely topics to meet sales professional needs in support of their clients and their conversations.
    • Building a strong understanding of Schwab’s investor segments, offering and key opportunities in the marketplace to provide competitive intelligence positioning for our sales professionals.
    • Providing ad-hoc support on leadership and business partner requests including Retail response plans to competitor events / announcements, targeted win/loss situational support, and researching competitive intelligence inquiries.

  • WML&C Data and Insights: Leverage data to support Retail Sales learning, development and coaching. This role translates insights into action across our learning and coaching initiatives, including:
    • Analyzing data across the WML&C Team in support of the Retail Sales network, aligning with strategic focus areas, performance indicators, and key activity metrics.
    • Understanding key performance indicators and leading indicators and using dashboards and reports to develop a point of view on the health of the business and coaching reinforcement opportunities.
    • Partnering with WML&C Sr Leadership Team on quarterly business reviews, lift analyses, and other reporting needs to gather insights and observations to enhance team effectiveness.
    • Managing executive updates and communications to support quarterly business reviews and business updates.

  • A bias for action: Overcomes obstacles, tackles challenges creatively, and successfully executes, at times, under tight deadlines. Curiosity for learning the intricacies of the business, systems, and processes is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience building relationships with a diverse range of partners and working with cross-functional teams to design and deliver client experience initiatives, including evaluating opportunities and making recommendations based on the unique needs of the
  • Technical Skills: Required: Excel, PowerPoint. Preferred: SmartSheet, SharePoint, PowerBI, Tableau.
  • Financial services industry understanding and ability to review firm competitive intelligence information and develop sales-focused insights and discussion points for sales professional usage.
  • Superior communicator: Excellent written and verbal skills for synthesizing data and creating compelling presentations.
  • Client Focus: Keeps clients central to decisions and actions aligned with serving investors and sales personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant experience.
  • 5+ years in strategy, analytics, technology platform management, project management, product management, sales operations or client experience-type roles preferred.
  • Financial Services industry experience and acumen is preferred.
  • Series 7 licensing is preferred.
