Corporate Affairs champions Schwab’s story and reputation through internal and external communication channels. Our purpose is to drive positive external stakeholder perceptions of Schwab, strengthen employee engagement across all Schwab channels, and improve Corporate Affairs’ operations and ability to drive business outcomes.

The Strategy & Operations team within Corporate Affairs is responsible for working closely with the Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Corporate Affairs leadership team to shape and execute our strategic vision for the function and deliver the operational support that enables the Corporate Affairs team to deliver maximum impact to our stakeholders and partners across Schwab. In this capacity, the team is responsible for the Corporate Affairs annual planning process; channel strategy and platforms; business unit risk management; overseeing the programs that help Corporate Affairs employees grow and foster our strong culture; and maintaining and strengthening relationships with key partners across Human Resources, Corporate Real Estate, Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance and more.

What you’ll do:

As aProduct Owner forCommunications Technology, you willberesponsible for executing the vision, roadmap,administration,and delivery ofthesocial mediacommunication technologycapabilitiesand optimizationefforts across multipleplatformsleveragedacross Corporate Affairs andbyother business units communicatingvia social mediaplatforms.In this capacity, you willpartner closely with members of theCorporate Affairs team, Schwab Technology Services (STS), and business stakeholders to ensure ourtechnologysolutionssupportexternal communicationsstrategies, enhancethe employeeuserexperience, and scale withSchwab’sgrowthand accelerating communications needs. This role leverages your Product Owner experience and offers the opportunity to focus on strategic impactin addition tohands-on development or configuration withincommunicationstoolsinpartnership with STS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to a high-performing team ofcommunicators, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Influencethe product strategyandroadmap fortools used forcommunicating with external audiences includingSprinklr,Brandwatch,ProofPoint, and Hearsay/Yext.
  • Translate complex business needs into actionable product requirements, including technical specifications, governance requirements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage theproductbacklog and ensure alignment to roadmap. Lead planningeffortsand track delivery; align and manage key partnershipsacross the firm.
  • Serve as platform adminto maintain and manage processes and features in the platform.
  • Partner cross-functionallywith Schwab Technology Services (STS) and external vendorsto design andmaintainseamless integrations with downstream systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Stay abreast oftechnologyreleases and feature previews, proactively assessing impact and championing the adoption of relevant enhancements.
  • Monitor and proactively consider how artificial intelligence can help enhance productivity, and create a more seamless experience across key platforms/tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing system performance, gathering user feedback, andoptimizingprocess efficiency.

What you have

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven success as a Product Owner for technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience managing platforms that facilitate external social media publishing, monitoring, and moderation; content approval; archiving; and supervision.
  • Direct ownership of enterprise communication or social media management platforms
  • Familiarity with records management, supervision, audit processes, and third-party risk
  • Bachelor’s degree in Product Management, Information Systems, Technology, or related field.
  • Experience managing product roadmaps, prioritization frameworks, and agile delivery practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity withAPIconfigurationsand integration concepts (hands-on experience a plus).
  • Ability to navigate complex organizational changes and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen with an ability to understand and apply scalable solutions that are product agnostic.
  • Ability tomanage dynamic, fast-paced environments, adapt to evolving requirements, andoptimizeoutcomes with limited resources.
  • Demonstrated experience working with communications platforms that adhere to financial regulations, compliance requirements, and other governance standards.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FINRA 3310, FINRA 2210, SEC Rule 17a-3 and 17a-4), supervisory procedures and risk management related to social media a plus.
