Base Salary: $108,000 – $158,000 annually, depending on experience
Bonus: Target annual bonus

About the Opportunity
A rapidly growing telecommunications infrastructure provider is expanding its fiber network footprint across new markets and is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager, Infrastructure Construction (Fiber) to lead buildout operations.
This role is critical to launching and scaling construction operations in new geographies, ensuring efficient, high-quality network deployment while maintaining safety, budget, and schedule targets.
We are seeking candidates who are based in or able to regularly work within the following markets: Cottage Grove, Woodbury, Savage, Burnsville, Eagan, and Inver Grove Heights.
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Infrastructure Construction (Fiber) is responsible for leading the successful execution of large-scale fiber construction programs across expansion markets. This role will establish and scale field operations, oversee contractor performance, and drive consistent production outcomes across multiple build areas.
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring deep Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to lead both internal teams and external contractor crews in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight & Execution
- Lead the stand-up of new market construction operations, including contractor onboarding and build readiness
- Own construction budgets (capital and expense), staffing plans, and project schedules
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all projects
- Coordinate with engineering teams to maintain continuous construction flow
- Manage all phases of contractor engagement including bidding, negotiation, and execution
- Partner with municipalities, permitting agencies, and utility/pole owners
Strategic Execution & Operational Excellence
- Translate expansion and build strategies into field execution across multiple markets
- Track and report production metrics; identify gaps and drive corrective actions in real-time
- Standardize construction methodologies and best practices across markets
- Optimize contractor workforce planning to meet build targets
- Align cross-functional teams (engineering, construction, program management) to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time
- Enforce field-level quality and as-built accuracy through inspections and oversight
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for construction managers and field teams
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and performance
- Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners
Communication & Risk Management
- Own end-to-end construction delivery from design validation through network activation
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure consistent communication across stakeholders, including leadership, field teams, and partners
Other Duties
- Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 10 years of Outside Plant (OSP) construction experience, including fiber installation and splicing
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing teams and/or contractors
- Proven experience managing budgets and large-scale construction programs
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple contractor crews simultaneously in a high-production environment
- Experience overseeing multi-market or multi-state fiber construction deployments
- Willingness and ability to travel across active and emerging markets
- Strong understanding of fiber construction practices, safety standards, and network topology
- Experience navigating permitting processes across municipalities, DOT, railroads, and utilities
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Physical Requirements
The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Visual requirements include close and distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates in a combination of office and field environments, with regular exposure to construction sites and active work zones. Travel is expected.
