Apply U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP), U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and Public CompanyAccounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards. Evaluate the workrequirements of audits for clients, including Securities and ExchangeCommission (SEC) registrants. Identify accounting and audit risks. Write auditreports and present findings to clients and upper management. Assesseffectiveness of client audit processes and controls. Identify performanceimprovement opportunities for assigned clients. Prepare audit proposals andexpand client base by identifying growing client portfolios. Provide trainingand guidance on audit methodology and U.S. GAAP technical accounting. Providetechnical guidance and timely performance feedback to team members. Assist withtasks related to account administration, including billing, fee analysis, andnew service development. Direct and lead audit engagements. Create businessdevelopment opportunities. Support client relationships and developprofessional networks.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours perweek, M-F (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Master's degree or foreignequivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Management, or arelated field, and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degreeor foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration,Management, or a related field, and 7 years of related work experience, out ofwhich 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience.
Of the required experience, must have 3 years ofexperience with the following: Overseeing audit engagements; Developing andexecuting audit strategies and procedures; Applying U.S. GAAP, U.S. GAAS, andPCAOB Auditing standards; and Testing accounting procedures and communicatingfindings to clients and upper management.
Must have an active New York CPA license.
Travel to various locations throughout the USrequired up to 5%.
