Amazon Leo is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician who will lead day-to-day maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of environmental test equipment and production systems. This hands-on role focuses on predictive and preventive maintenance execution, safety practices, and building team capability through mentorship and knowledge sharing. You'll work directly with engineers and technicians who design and build unique machines to solve critical problems, ensuring maximum asset availability without interrupting production operations.
This position is Monday- Friday, 7AM-5:30PM.
Key job responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
•Maintain and troubleshoot environmental test equipment including TVAC chambers, HASS systems, thermal chambers
•Maintain and troubleshoot production automation equipment
•Oversee vendors making planned and emergency repairs while maintaining direct involvement in critical repairs
•Troubleshoot and repair control devices such as PLCs and HMIs
•Perform overhaul and repair of mechanical systems including pumps, chillers, gearboxes, and cryogenic systems
Electrical & Mechanical Systems
•Replace and install electrical components such as switches, relays, contactors, transformers, rectifiers, circuit breakers, fuses, and sensors for temperature/pressure/position
•Replace and install mechanical components such as bearings, bushings, motors, shafts, collars, couplings, pulleys, belts, gears, chains, rollers, pumps, valves, hoses, and o-rings
•Read, troubleshoot, and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
•Conduct research using all available in-house resources for complex troubleshooting
Work Management & Documentation
•Create and close out work orders with comprehensive data including labor hours, equipment maintenance history, and parts used
•Develop job plans for emergency repair of critical assets
•Author baseline procedures and assist in training technicians in procedure execution
•Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices and asset reliability
Basic qualifications
•High school diploma or equivalency certificate
•4 + years of maintenance technician experience in industrial environments
•4 + years conducting predictive and preventative maintenance programs
•4+ years of experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical repair
•4+ years reading and troubleshooting electrical schematics with demonstrated ability to redline and generate schematics
•4+ years applying electrical and electronic principles in troubleshooting scenarios
•Well-versed in at least 1 of the following: automation systems, gas flow systems, cryogenic systems, and chilled water systems
•Experience with hand/power tools, forklifts, and other heavy equipment
Preferred qualifications
•Associate's degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related technical field
•7+ years of maintenance technician experience
•Experience within aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronics manufacturing
•Proven experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or technical lead
•5+ years troubleshooting and diagnosing TVAC and HASS chambers
•3+ years of programmable logic controls (PLC) programming experience
•3+ years of robotics system components and controls troubleshooting experience
•Demonstrated ability to describe and navigate through machine functions, root cause recurrent issues, and identify cross-referenced parts needed for repairs
•Proven track record training others on best repair and troubleshooting practices
Physical Requirements
•Ability to move up to 49 lbs unassisted
•Stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours
•Perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
•Operate forklifts and company vehicles as needed
Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in relevant work
- Can bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
- Can use hands to manipulate small wires and objects
- Can walk on job sites in uneven terrain
- Can work at heights and from laddersPreferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
- Can perform physical tasks all day without becoming overly tired

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
