We are seeking a Senior LabWare Developer to support the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing operation of a LabWare LIMS v8 (non‑web/classic) solution within a dynamic, high‑throughput commercial testing environment. This role plays a key part in delivering new functionality, stabilizing existing workflows, and ensuring laboratory operations are supported by reliable, well‑designed systems.

The Senior LabWare Developer will work closely with laboratory, QA, and operations teams to translate evolving business needs into user stories and production‑ready code, while providing hands‑on support in a fast‑moving, results‑driven environment.

  • Design, develop, and implement new features and enhancements in LabWare LIMS v8 (non‑web).
  • Support the ongoing implementation and evolution of LIMS in a dynamic commercial testing environment with changing priorities and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application, configuration, data, and integration issues across test, stage, and production environments.
  • Work directly with laboratory end users to understand workflows related to sample management, subsampling, QA, and subcontractor shipping.
  • Interpret user and business requirements and translate them into clear user stories, technical designs, and working code.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to support lab operations, integrations, and reporting.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of APIs and system integrations to support data exchange between LIMS and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Participate in backlog grooming, solution design discussions, UAT support, and deployment activities.
  • Assist end users with application support, issue resolution, and process improvements.
  • Ensure solutions align with internal standards, best practices, and applicable regulatory or quality requirements.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to continuous improvement within the Lab Center of Excellence.
