🚀 Role Overview:
The State of Michigan is seeking an experienced Software Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Java and enterprise application architecture to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance systems.
🔧 Required Skills & Experience:
- 12+ years of professional experience in software/application development, with strong expertise in Java and enterprise-level systems
- 5+ years of experience in application architecture, designing large-scale, mission-critical solutions
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in:
- Microservices architecture
- Containerization (Docker)
- Container orchestration (OpenShift / Kubernetes)
- Strong experience in:
- Multi-tier application design
- Distributed systems
- High-availability architectures
- Deep understanding of:
- REST APIs
- Service integration patterns
- CI/CD pipelines
- Secure application design
- Proven expertise in modern security and authentication frameworks:
- OAuth 2.0
- SAML
- OpenID Connect
- JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
- Hands-on experience implementing secure and scalable IAM solutions across distributed systems
