Overall Purpose: Coordinate and administer risk assessments and audits to ensure the integrity, efficiency, security, and compliance of the organization’s technology, while providing recommendations and validating corrective actions.
Key Roles and Responsibilities: Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Risk Assessment and Audit Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of technology processes, systems, and infrastructure to identify risks and develop audit plans based on identified risks.
• Audit Execution: Perform IT audits to evaluate the design of IT controls, policies, and procedures, and test control operational effectiveness in areas like cybersecurity and data privacy.
• Compliance and Standards: Ensure IT practices comply with internal policies and external regulations (e.g., SOX, GDPR), and stay current with relevant industry standards (e.g., COBIT, ISO 27001).
Job Contribution: An experienced professional with advanced, interdisciplinary knowledge, resolving difficult and complex issues using broad professional concepts. Guides others, applying advanced principles and company practices. Leads moderate sized projects (or parts of larger projects) with strategic value. Operates autonomously with frequent senior leadership interaction.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired, with preference for degree in technology
3+ years of related experience is required, with preference for Big 4 firms (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG) or equivalent top-tier consulting environments and exposure to large enterprise clients.
Strong understanding of IT risks and internal controls in areas such as IT governance, cybersecurity, data privacy, and cloud infrastructure.
Experience using data analytics in audit procedures or risk assessments
Exposure to AI, automation, or advanced audit tools preferred
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
Professional certifications (CIA, CISA) is preferred
Our Senior IT Auditor earns between $118,800 - $178,200 USD Annual. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
