The Planet Group has partnered with a West Coast firm to locate a Senior IOS Engineer Senior iOS Engineer for a 100% remote contract role.
We are seeking a product-focused, fast-moving engineer to to help build and scale high-impact mobile experiences. And work with an established team.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
Responsibilities:
- Build and enhance user-facing iOS applications used at scale
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver new features end-to-end
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle: design, development, testing, experimentation, and launch
- Review code and technical designs, providing thoughtful feedback to improve quality and performance
- Help shape engineering standards and best practices while supporting and mentoring other team members
- Collaborate in a fast-paced, highly iterative environment focused on delivering meaningful user experiences
Required Skills/Experience:
- 6+ years of experience building native iOS applications using Swift
- Experience working on medium-to-large scale applications in production environments
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices (testing, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering stakeholders
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote environment
- Experience contributing to or leading initiatives across teams
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL) and HTTP fundamentals
- Background in additional programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Rust
