The MITRE National Intelligence Division is seeking a Senior Intelligence Analyst to join the Strategic Technology and Economic Foresight Department (N921). This senior-level role provides subject matter expertise and analytic leadership across analytic and technical efforts advancing Intelligence Community priorities in emerging technology, economic security, strategic competition, and long-range foresight.

The Senior Intelligence Analyst will lead complex analytic initiatives, engage directly with senior IC stakeholders, and develop insights into how technology, economics, and geopolitics intersect to shape national security outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Senior Intelligence Analyst will conduct research and analysis on emerging technologies, economic trends, and global competitive dynamics in support of Intelligence Community priorities. The role includes producing executive-level briefings, strategic assessments, and analytic products for senior IC leadership; applying structured analytic techniques to evaluate oversight findings, performance trends, and cross-cutting mission challenges; identifying enterprise-level risks, gaps, and opportunities to strengthen transparency, integration, and execution. The Senior Intelligence Analyst will mentor junior staff, contribute to analytic tradecraft and capability development within N921, and support cross-IC coordination and integration initiatives aligned to ODNI priorities.

The primary responsibilities of this position must be carried out in person in McLean, Virginia. The successful candidate will establish regular presence at MITRE and ODNI locations and may be required to travel within the National Capital Region.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a Master’s degree, or 1 years with a PhD
  • Demonstrated experience producing analytic products for senior government leaders
  • Strong briefing, writing, and synthesis skills
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in intelligence studies, public policy, national security, political science, economics, or related field
  • This position has an on-site requirement of 5 days a week on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience supporting ODNI, IC oversight organizations, or enterprise governance initiatives
  • Experience in performance evaluation, inspection support, policy analysis, or mission integration efforts
  • Experience leading analytic teams or mentoring junior staff
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$116,400 - $145,500 - $174,600 Annual
