Senior Instructional Designer

nTech Workforce
Washington, DC

Terms of Employment:

• W2 Contract-to-Hire, 12 monhs

• Location: Hybrid role at Washington, DC — remote June-August; 4-5 days/week onsite Sept-Dec

Overview:

Work with a leading healthcare operations center as a Senior Instructional Designer to spearhead the development and delivery of critical training programs. You will play a pivotal role in preparing the organization for "Open Season" by creating visually stunning e-learning modules and facilitating high-impact training sessions for internal staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop end-to-end learning products including e-learning, micro-learning, webinars, and digitized presentations.

• Facilitate Instructor-Led Training (ILT) and Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) sessions, particularly during peak enrollment periods.

• Partner with business leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze business needs and translate complex claims/enrollment processes into scalable learning solutions.

• Manage the full instructional design lifecycle using ADDIE and SAM methodologies.

• Create multimedia content for upcoming software migrations, including ServiceNow and new contact center phone systems.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of e-learning experience specifically — not 3 years total with e-learning as a side function

• Authoring tool proficiency (must already have these — no training offered): Adobe Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate 360 (Storyline + Rise)

• SCORM compliance knowledge and LMS experience — current tools are PeopleSoft/Oracle and SharePoint

• Instructional design methodology: ADDIE and/or SAM; adult learning principles in practice

• Facilitation experience — instructor-led training (ILT) or virtual ILT; this role facilitates its own content

• Strong graphic design sensibility — content must adhere to brand guidelines and be visually polished

• Excellent written and verbal communication — presenting to stakeholders and facilitating to operational staff

• Self-starter — Laurese used this word explicitly; must be able to produce immediately without hand-holding

• Portfolio — required; no portfolio means no submission

Preferred Skills

• Healthcare or insurance background — preferred but not required; FEPOC will onboard the right candidate to their content

• Panopto experience — in procurement, not yet live; any modern cloud LMS experience is sufficient

• Well Said Labs experience — mentioned by Laurese as another authoring tool in use

• Claims processing or enrollment process familiarity — reduces ramp time significantly

• ServiceNow experience — one of the named project deliverables

• Experience facilitating training to large or distributed temporary/contingent workforces
