Day Shift, Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

As the Senior Inspector, RIT, you will be responsible for maintaining quality standards for processing material to ensure compliant material is delivered to the Program and the Final Customer. The hourly pay rate for this is $28.25. GXO, in good faith, believes this is the pay rate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted rate and this rate is only applicable for jobs to be performed California. This rate may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for hourly shift differential. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Perform inspection of machine parts and castings utilizing various inspection techniques and equipment to assure functional performance according to drawing specifications
  • Receiving Inspection and test of incoming material received at other sites
  • Provide validation and disposition of actual defects for both Hardware and Documentation Quality Notifications (QN).
  • Participate in cause and corrective actions to alleviate production difficulties

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Extensive experience with Open Setups to inspect orientation, location and form.
  • Extensive experience with blueprints, MIL-STDs, technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing documents
  • Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong reading, writing, verbal and presentation skills for interaction at various levels of management and within the organization.
  • Ability to work within a technical environment developing/implementing practical solutions to a range of challenges in quality systems, process control, and materials
  • Incoming and/or Production Inspection
  • Have interpersonal skills and ability to work well with employees, teammates, and customers
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills that allow for proper and precise result descriptions
  • Experience in Material and Inventory Control-type systems such as SAP (PRISM)
  • Candidate should have a strong desire for safety and security
  • Must be able to support on weekends and extended hours on a surge basis.
  • Ability to perform job assignments with little to no assistance.

It’d be great if you also have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience using drawings, manuals and diagrams to coordinate and complete installation of equipment and components according to specifications
  • Excellent communication skills with managers, employees and vendors while delivering status reports and performing maintenance and repair work, machinery installations or moves
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to influence without authority
